Classes cancelled Monday, Dec. 1, 2025
Dear students, faculty, and staff,
The College has continued to monitor road conditions, flight cancellations, and other travel disruptions overnight and through the early morning hours. Classes will be cancelled on Monday, Dec. 1 to provide all those traveling back to campus additional time to return safely from Thanksgiving break.
Please use your best judgment to determine your travel arrangements, while referring to the resources linked below. Travel safety is our highest priority, and faculty are encouraged to provide accommodations for students with travel challenges that extend beyond Monday.
Campus offices will remain open; staff who are able to work remotely should do so with supervisor approval and should mark their time as TELW. Meetings can continue virtually; this includes tomorrow鈥檚 scheduled faculty meeting and staff compensation presentation.鈥赌疎ssential staff within Facilities Management, Dining, and Campus Safety should report to campus as scheduled.
Essential employees working on campus should continue to monitor travel conditions or early school dismissals and coordinate with their supervisor if they must depart early, arrive late, or need other accommodations. Campus community members reporting to campus should avoid parking on city streets to ensure compliance with city snow emergency ordinances. If you have any questions, please contact Human Resources鈥痑迟 hr@grinnell.edu鈥痮r 641-269-4818.
