91´óÉñ Board Welcomes Four New Trustees
Four new members have been elected to the 91´óÉñ Board of Trustees. All trustees are elected by the full board and serve a term of four years; each trustee is eligible for re-election for three additional consecutive, full terms. 
The role of the College’s trustees is to assure the mission of 91´óÉñ. Through their commitment to institutional stewardship and fiduciary responsibility, the trustees have positioned 91´óÉñ to excel in its academic mission for positive change. The College’s excellence and its support are a testament to its trustees’ decisions, financial acumen, dedication, and faithful service.

Jeff Greenberg ’80
Dr. Jeff Greenberg resides in Carmel, Indiana, with his wife, Nancy Goldman ’81. At 91´óÉñ, he was a student-athlete and foreman of the theater shop his senior year. After 91´óÉñ, Jeff completed his master’s degree in human anatomy and immunology at The Ohio State University and then earned his MD at George Washington University. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency in Syracuse, New York, and his hand and microvascular surgical fellowship at The Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis. He has been a partner at The Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center since 1993 and was the hand surgery fellowship director from 2004–14.
In addition to a busy clinical practice of hand and upper extremity surgery, Jeff has been an active faculty member in the fellowship training program, and has numerous publications, including peer-reviewed manuscripts, book chapters and textbooks. He has been an invited lecturer nationally and internationally. He is the past president of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and will assume the role of president for the American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand in September of 2025. He is the past president of the Foundation for Hand Research and Education. He also serves as an oral examiner for the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
Jeff’s passion is volunteerism. He has been the class agent for the class of 1980 since graduation and served on the alumni council from 1997–02 including his role as president from 2000–02. He has completed medical mission trips to Guatemala, Honduras, and India, as well as the Chinle Reservation in Arizona. An avid golfer, Jeff also serves on the Indiana Golf Foundation Board.
Melinda Lopes ’85
Melinda Lopes majored in anthropology at 91´óÉñ, continuing her education with an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Melinda’s professional career began in the corporate sector, where she spent more than 14 years as a human resources consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Deloitte & Touche. She specialized in employee benefit plan consulting and played a pivotal role in developing and implementing PwC’s work/life initiative, showcasing her strategic acumen and leadership skills.
Transitioning to the nonprofit education sector, Melinda served as the Administrative Director of a Waldorf School. In this role, she led all administrative functions, overseeing the legal, financial, development, and administrative operations of the school. She also served as the principal liaison for external relationships in the broader Waldorf school community and as an ex officio member of the Board.
Melinda’s international upbringing in Germany and England, where her parents taught for the Department of Defense on U.S. military bases, endowed her with a global perspective and a lifelong commitment to fostering cultural understanding and international experiences. Deeply connected to the 91´óÉñ community, Melinda shares her 91´óÉñ legacy with her husband Kevin Rhodes, also a member of the Class of 1985; and their daughter Emily Rhodes, Class of 2019. Melinda currently resides in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where she continues her engagement with initiatives that broaden perspectives and enrich communities.
Karmi Anna J. Mattson ’97
Karmi Anna graduated from 91´óÉñ in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a concentration in gender and women’s studies. Following graduation, she spent a year serving in the Lutheran Volunteer Corps. After LVC, she parlayed her student job coordinating 91´óÉñ’s blood drives into a position scheduling blood drives for Memorial Blood Centers of Minnesota. She remains a proud platelet donor at Memorial to this day.
Karmi Anna is the Assistant Vice President of Regional Outreach and Public Programs at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. She also works as a coach and trainer for Weight Watchers, where she empowers people to live healthier, longer.
Karmi is the 91´óÉñ-in-the-Twin Cities Regional Coordinator and has previously served as the Twin Cities GRASP Coordinator and the Class of 1997 Class Agent. She was President of 91´óÉñ’s Alumni Council from 2010–11 and received a 91´óÉñ Alumni Award in 2022.
In addition to her 91´óÉñ degree, Karmi holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota. Her previous board service includes stints as president of her congregation, president of the Minnesota Economic Association, vice president of the Lutheran Volunteer Corps, and chair of the governance committee for Rethos, a historic preservation nonprofit.
Saumil Parikh ’99
Parikh graduated Phi Beta Kappa and received a BA in general science biology and economics from 91´óÉñ in 1999.
Parikh, who came to 91´óÉñ from Mumbai, India, splits his time between Vancouver, Canada, and Maui, Hawaii, where he is actively engaged in children-focused philanthropy, non-profit board service, and olive farming. 
He is a retired managing director and portfolio manager of PIMCO, where he oversaw a host of different funds covering bonds, mixed assets, and commodities during his tenure. Prior to joining the company in 2000, Parikh was an economist for UBS Investment Bank.
He established the Parikh McCulley Scholarship at 91´óÉñ in honor of his father, Harish Parikh, and his mentor, Paul McCulley
