He is now the director of research and impact — planetary solutions at Yale University, where he aims to catalyze “all that Yale is, and all that Yale does, in pursuit of Planetary Solutions” – focusing on climate change, biodiversity and ecosystems, and communities and society.

Reich works to raise awareness and educate people about the linked issues of climate change and the global food system. To this end, he has worked on many sustainability-related projects, including the PBS show , which explores “how climate change impacts all of us, and about how we can create a better future for our planet and ourselves.” He was also one of the creators of , a YouTube channel featuring short videos featuring the “science and stories about our awesome planet.”

Reich says that 91 provided him with a space where he was encouraged to be himself, to be different, to pursue his genuine interests, and to ask the hard questions. He’s been seeking out impactful ways to do just that ever since. Reich continues to advocate for and seek out alternative solutions to the biggest problems we face as a global community.
