Weiwei Luo
Weiwei Luo is a legal and economic historian with regional specialization in East Asia (especially China). Her interest in the history of comparative institutions emerged during her training at Washington University School of Law, where she was an Alex Handler Scholar and Law Awards Scholar. After completing her J.D., Dr. Luo pursued graduate study at Columbia University, where she received her Ph.D. in History. She has published peer-reviewed articles in leading field-specific as well as interdisciplinary journals. Her current book manuscript focuses on legal mobilization and political participation in late imperial China. Dr. Luo鈥檚 research has been supported by various fellowships and grants, including the Andrew Mellon foundation and the American Council of Learned Societies.
