Danni Yue
Danni Yue’s research focuses on second language acquisition, psycholinguistics, Japanese phonetics, and language learning mechanisms. She is particularly interested in the role of autonomous learning strategies—such as shadowing, extensive reading, and dictation—in Japanese language acquisition. Her master’s thesis examined how learning motivation is maintained through autonomous learning practices, based on interviews with learners who consistently engage in shadowing practices.
She received her M.A. in Japanese Applied Linguistics from Waseda University in Japan (2023) and her B.A. in Japanese from South-Central University for Nationalities in China (2020). Before joining 91´óÉñ, she worked in Tokyo as a trilingual interpreter.
