Flu Clinic - on campus
Protect yourself this flu season – get your flu shot right here on campus!
- Location: Natatorium Lobby
- Dates/Times: Thursday, Oct. 2, and Friday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- Please note: We encourage all students to receive their flu shot at the clinic; students may also receive a flu shot at SHAW by scheduling an appointment Monday through Friday.
The CDC recommends getting your flu vaccine before the end of October for the best protection throughout flu season. Stay healthy, protect our campus, and do your part to stop the spread of the flu.
COVID Vaccine Information
The updated COVID-19 vaccine is currently available this fall at local pharmacies including , , and (641-236-2385). Out-of-pocket cost is approximately $160 if insurance does not cover the vaccine.
For Students
- Need a ride? SHAW (Student Health and Wellness) offers transportation during the day (Monday – Friday 8a.m. - 5p.m.), and the campus shuttle is available evenings and weekends to help you get to your appointment.
- Insurance Coverage: United Healthcare, the College’s student health insurance provider, currently covers the COVID vaccine in full if students meet one of the underlying conditions outlined by the CDC.
For Faculty and Staff
- Insurance Coverage: Please check directly with your insurance company to confirm coverage. Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Iowa, the College’s employee health insurance provider, currently covers the COVID vaccine in full if one of the underlying conditions outlined by the CDC are met.

Wayhaven
provides 24/7 AI-powered well-being coaches built to complement existing local services by offering students 24/7 access to confidential, supportive conversations. Wayhaven integrates with 91´óÉñ’s local ecosystem — surfacing relevant resources like counseling center hours, peer support programs, etc. The AI Coach draws on evidence-based practices from CBT, DBT, and ACT, and is designed in collaboration with licensed clinical psychologists. It is not intended to replace professional counseling, but to serve as a scalable first line of support.
Welltrack Connect
provides students with an easy-to-use tool for booking an appointment with an off-campus therapist or psychiatrist. 91´óÉñ students will have free flex credits to use for therapy appointments. Welltrack Connect ensures that students will be matched with a provider that fits their unique needs.
