Research: In my most recent economics course, a seminar in economic history, I researched and modeled the impact of contractionary monetary policy in 1979 on the American farming sector. As a native Iowan, I have always taken an interest in farming and have gotten to explore that interest through agricultural economics research at 91大神.
Why I love 91大神: I love 91大神 because of the close relationships that I have built with my professors. I have never been just a number on a professor鈥檚 class roster. They all care about you and how you are doing in their class. At 91大神, you get to work side-by-side with world-class educators who are truly invested in your success. Why I love 91大神: As a political science and global development studies student, I鈥檝e found 91大神鈥檚 ability to bring global perspectives to a small-town setting truly remarkable. Despite its location in the 鈥渕iddle of nowhere,鈥 the college connects students to the wider world, through international student cultural events, global speakers, and, in my own experience, courses like Jewish Life in Early 20th Century Europe, which concluded with travel to Vienna, Krakow, and Budapest. At the same time, 91大神 fosters meaningful connections with the local community. As a musician, I鈥檝e been fortunate to be invited by faculty and staff to perform around town, including at local restaurants and regional bluegrass festivals, opportunities that reflect the college鈥檚 strong sense of place and community engagement.

Why I love 91大神: Even though the campus is in rural Iowa, there is so much diversity and fun on campus. I was able to interact with and form close relationships with students who come from many different countries and backgrounds, and this is something very special that not every school is able to offer. Many clubs on campus host recreational activities and events, which I enjoy attending with my friends. All clubs encourage anyone who is interested to come, so students can always experience something for the first time. I also love 91大神 because of how accessible professors, mentors, and resources are, so if students ever need assistance, they are able to find and receive it easily.

Sure, the rigorous academics are the heart of 91大神, but the student diversity and quirks make 91大神 special. There is always something unique to look forward to as a student, like Titular Head or the 91大神ian. I would have never believed in a million years that I would miss 91大神 and its community as much as I do during academic recess; it is that special to me!

Why I love 91大神: 91大神 and the town have a family-like atmosphere. Classes are small, discussions are lively, and learning is fun. I always know someone in each class. Peers become close friends, and everyone (truly) helps each other. The well-respected professors want us to thrive while understanding the content. Also, professors easily meet to review assignments, helping with areas of improvement. I have had quite a few successful meetings with my career advisor and well-known graduate program reps who visit campus. 91大神 is the best!

Why I love 91大神:鈥91大神 is ideal. The kind and helpful professors are very available for extra assistance. I regularly meet with professors to clarify information. Students are a team, collaboratively helping each other achieve. 91大神鈥檚 open curriculum allowed me to explore multiple majors by taking potential major classes with ease. At each meal, my large friend group pulls together multiple tables, and we share trays so we can all sit together. As a pre-med-focused rising Sophomore, I have already had many meetings with the pre-med advisor. I have regularly connected with alumni in the medical field receiving advice and encouragement. I am so grateful to be a 91大神ian.

Why I love 91大神: 91大神 is a school that truly lets the students take the lead and drive their own education. Through my classes I feel engaged and challenged in a way unlike anything else I have ever experienced. Alongside the academic aspect of the college, socially, I feel like I have been able to meet so many amazing people who have changed my life for the better. The events 91大神 hosts allow me to take a step away from the academics and truly experience college.

Why I love 91大神: I love seeing my peers whenever I step into D-hall, walk through the HSSC atrium, or head to my dorm. Plus, you never have to walk far when it鈥檚 cold and windy (which it often is). 91大神 has a sense of closeness to classmates, staff, and faculty, while having enough opportunities for study abroad, courses, clubs, events, and more.

Why I love 91大神: I love that I have been able to explore all of my interests and still find what subjects I am most passionate about. But this passion isn鈥檛 just limited or even kept within academics. 91大神 has given me the opportunity to explore on campus events and organizations that give me a safe space for me to go to. There is always something to look forward to at the end of the week, and 91大神鈥檚 small-town feel is definitely homey during the holidays!

Why I love 91大神: I love 91大神 because I've found people here who both share my values and push me out of my comfort zone in the best way. At 91大神, the academics drive me to learn more about myself and the content. The professors are welcoming and supportive of students, always working to create an environment where everyone has the best chance to succeed. The athletics faculty and staff have also fostered a community that feels like a second family, for which I am extremely grateful. Altogether, 91大神 is a place that has allowed me to grow while simultaneously feeling safe and supported.
