Tianxin Wang (she/her/hers) is a third-year doctoral student and trainee in the Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program at the University of Iowa. Originally from China, Tianxin is an international student who obtained a master¡¯s degree in psychology from the University of Indianapolis. Prior to entering the doctoral program, she worked for three years in a substance use clinic. 

In Tianxin¡¯s clinical work, she primarily utilizes Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) and is also interested in exploring and integrating other approaches that best fit each individual¡¯s needs. She firmly believes that every client enters psychotherapy with their own strengths, wisdom, power, and motivation to grow. As a therapist, her role is to facilitate and support that change. 

Individual counseling services are available in both English and Mandarin Chinese (ÖÐÎÄ). You are welcome to request to work with Tianxin during the initial consultation.

Beyond her clinical work and research, Tianxin enjoys art museums, traveling, and musicals.
